Hey Creative Teens!

Check this out!

The Firebird Project’s Teen Arts Forum is an opportunity for high-school age artists in NYC to come together to foster a community, create new connections, and discuss future artistic endeavors. This event is a great place to meet collaborators and friends: part open-air gallery, part creative discussion, part art party! Bring a couple friends and a piece of work to share and celebrate returning to in-person events at this gathering for young creatives.

This event’s theme is Metamorphosis: how have we changed in the last year, and what are our hopes and intentions for the future? What will art look like post-pandemic, and what new ideas will the next generation of artists bring to the table?

WHO is invited?
Young artists of all disciplines, ages 13-19.

WHERE will it happen?
Central Park, NYC. Directions will be sent to attendees, so make sure to RSVP*!WHEN will it be?
Sat, July 31st. 1:00-4:00pm, EST.

In case of poor weather, our rain date is Sun, Aug 1st.

WHAT should I bring?- A picnic blanket or something to sit on.- A mask (let’s prevent the spread together!)- Water (enjoy the summer heat while staying hydrated!)- A piece of art to share. (This can be anything so long as you can provide a good way for fellow attendees to view it — think of this as a do-it-yourself art gallery. If you’d like a prompt, use the theme “Metamorphosis” to inspire your work.)

WHY is this event happening?

We at Firebird believe that young artists are the future voices of our community, and in the wake of the isolation brought on by the pandemic, we are inviting them to come together and foster a vibrant and uplifting creative network.

HOW can I RSVP?
Just fill out the form at bit.ly/artsforum21

Leo is a former student, and now an inspiring colleague. Definitely check this out — and all of Firebird’s offerings!
